Milly Loves her Apples

I Loved that our Hotel had endless amounts of Apples in the Lobby because every time we walked by Milly would say Apple. I love how she eats these! The picture above shows how a typical apple of hers looks like when she is done. Even now she will still not eat them cut up they have to be whole like this.

So Brett took this picture at just the right time. As you can see Grandma just got "it" on the Safari ride. Dang diapers that dont hold. I felt horrible. Its one thing for it to happen to me but when it happens to someone else its THE WORST. Anyway Grandma was great about it and it did help that we were going to eat right after allowing her to change.

Day 2

I loved Day 2 once again we got there bright and earlier to take advantage of no lines. After a few rides we took Milly over to see the princesses. They did a cute performance that kids get to be a part of. Milly was adorable during this time. I love how everything is decorated so well at Christmas it was even fun to do Haunted and see how they decorated that ride. It may be crazy busy but I loved every second of it!

Disneyland Day One

Brett and I made sure to get there at opening and boy did that bring back memories of when I went with my family as a kid and waited inside the park waiting for them to give us the go ahead and watching everyone begin walking leading to an all out sprint. Anyway nothing has changed and I love it. It was very important to me that Milly like Disneyland so we had her first ride be "Its a Small World" it was perfect she than did great the entire trip even if a ride scared her like Pirates she just snuggled and closed her eyes. After small world we went on Peter Pan one of my favorites. It was at that time Brett's family got there and we enjoyed rides with them like Nemo, Dumbo, the train and others. Brett even went on Splash Mountain for me. I'm telling you as soon as I hit Disneyland unpregnant that will be my first ride, I love it! We enjoyed lunch at the park and Dinner at Captain Jacks across the street.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

The day after Christmas we left for Disneyland. Milly was so adorable with her on suitcase even though I loved watching her with it at times it was a little annoying she is so independent and not everyone boarding a plane wants to wait on her. She did great on the plane, its funny I was so scared for Seattle cause it was her first plane ride but she was fine, than I was scared for New York because it was a long flight again she did fine. So needless to say I did not think twice on this one.

So I recently started working again at Holiday Inn Express and nothing is better than your family coming bringing you dinner and as a surprise as well bring you flowers. they do this at every shift (Okay I only work once a month but still) I love it. Brett always has Milly give me the flowers and its just adorable. I love them to pieces. thanks for always making my shift a little better

Christmas Day

All in all we had a wonderful Christmas. It was an extremly busy day getting ready for 9am church, than our own Christmas, Bretts parents than relax for an hour before I started teh potatos for dinner at Grandma Satterlees, than pack for Disneyland in the morning. However I loved every second of it. I loved the time we had as a small family at our home even though Brett and I both were ready to toss Millys Kitchen away. Even she had a screw driver trying to help us put it togehter. Jill had a very fun "hunt" for the kids to find out they were going to Disneyland, it included lots of differnt travel items like coloring books, travel size tooth brush and paste and so on. I even enjoyed my time with his extended family eating dinner, I may have looked like Rocky after a fight ( I know I felt like that) becuase I think as a I get older the worse I get around cats however I still enjoyed every second of my day!

So last year I bought this tree after the season and at 75% off. I love it, however just some advice when buying a big tree even though you may have say 14 foot celings buying a 12 foot tree the stand is going to make it even taller, thus leaving you with a tree that the top is now bent over. Oh well I still love it!

Christmas Dress

Millys grandma picked this dress out for her this year and she was adorable in it. Before presents we attended church and I loved it for many reasons. One being you are all ready and dont look like crap for pictures, Second after just attending church it is much easier to remember the true meaning of Christmas. All in all I am a fan of Christmas being on Sunday!

We enjoyed most of Christmas eve with Bretts family as we enjoyed Chinese food and watching a Christmas story. Than it was back to our house were Santa stopped by with a gift to open that night as well as we exchanged pajamas. From Santa Brett got all the Rockys on Blue Ray, I got a Blue ray player and Milly got Mickeys Chritmas movie.

Pretty much every year I will have a Christmas party with Bretts family. I can not remember how it came about but its a rule that whoever shows up last has to wear the Bronco Santa hat. I know most of you are thinking "What a Privilege" but its not the case in Brett's family. So this year Chris wore it. I'm afraid that this will become an event were guests arrive way to early I may need to set some rules.
It was a fun night we had a ham dinner with salad and baked potato's. We also played the doughnut on a string game plus the usual gift exchange. It was a fun night.

Christmas Fun

We did many fun things with Milly this season that included seeing Santa (she wouldn't sit on his lap but did give him high 5). We went to Temple square and enjoyed those lights as well as Ogden for the first time. One night we drove to Roy and Sunset and through neighborhoods looking at lights. Another thing we did every night after reading a Christmas story was we would get into my bed and watch a Christmas show Milly absoutly loved this and she is still having a hard time not getting into my bed every night.

Halloween

I know as she gets bigger Holidays will become more and more fun, however Halloween was a still a great time. She had no idea at the time that candy was in her bucket yet she still would never give it up. Getting into the car after a trunk or treat was the worst you would have to pull so hard to get it away from her, just so you could put her seat belt on and hand it right back. She also loved dumping the candy out and just playing with it. We went to many Trunk or treats and took her over to some friends and the grandpartents on Halloween night. I also made home made dounuts like my mom always did for the first time this year and I think our tradition from here on out may just be Krispy Kreme. They weren't good at all and it sucks having a huge mess for something not very good. Milly was also many things for Halloween as you can see she was Winne the pooh,a butterfly, and she even was an M and M and a skeleton.

One Last Play Date

Before Danell and her family moved to Seattle, I had to beg to take the kids one last time so Milly could spend some time with them. I know they are still young but I love the way Milly and Bella play together I could watch those 2 for hours. We enjoyed picking raspberries (Cal and Cade ate all of them in my refridge plus the ones off the vine) played, played with chickens and had a Picnic for dinner.

To sum it up we had a great time on a much over due vacation. Prior to going Andrea told us she would take Milly the 3 days we wanted to go to the city, this meant so much to us. We were not only able to get in at least 12 times more things done, but it was great for Brett and I to remember what fun just the 2 of us can have, I also loved knowing she was in perfect hands and having a great time. I really cant describe how much this meant to us, Thank a million Andrea!
Also I realized again by seeing her just how great of friends she really is to me and how much I miss seeing her all the time, yes Andrea you not the Casinos lol. Thank you for being a wonderful big sister but I think most of all for supporting me and supporting my business. I sometimes complain that when we would visit her she would always have me pack my nails supplies or even my eyelash supplies. I think to myself I am on vacation I dont want to do nails or eyes, however I do and I appreciate you even wanting me to work on you.
Thank you for opening your house to us and for all the fun memories! Also thank you for loving my daughter and taking such good care of her even though sometimes I'm sure she made you want to rip your hair out.

Fire Island Lighthouse and the Beach

We couldn't have ended our fast pace vacation any better than we did. It was such a nice beautiful walk to the Lighthouse. It didn't even matter that it was an overcast and we couldn't see much from on top of the Lighthouse. After our Lighthouse tour we played at the Beach Milly did a little better with the sand and water.

Coney Island Ferris Wheel

I love Ferris Wheels and thought it would be fun to ride this together as a family. I had us ride on a moving one thinking it would just sway a little back and forth. Boy was I wrong. This thing was like being on a roller coaster, I was so scared for Milly. It did not help either that the thing is so old and you thought it could bust at any moment.

Nathans and Atlantic Ocean

After the Aquarium we enjoyed some delicious Hot Dogs at Nathans, we ate lunch over looking the ocean, I dont think there is a better view in the world than to just relax and enjoy this view. After lunch we walked down to the ocean. Milly was not a fan at all of the sand it felt so weird to her, she also didn't care for the water either it was pretty cold, But it is all about saying she has been in the Pacific and now the Atlantic.

New York Aquarium

We had a great time at this aquarium, Brett and I love going to Aquariums wherever we visit and this was one of the Best ones, it may have been the company!!! Anyway they had great exhibits and a wonderful fun Sea Lion show. Brett and I also enjoyed a break frompushing Milly around in the stroller all the girls loved pushing her.

Friday Night and Moms Birthday!

Once we arrived back we had time to pick up the best pizza I have ever had and enjoy Pizza and a movie. Milly thought this was so fun, she had never got to eat anywhere but her high chair and to be doing this with cousins was really neat. Well the movie was pretty lame so it wasn't long before everyone found themselves doing other things. We than celebrated my moms birthday, it was really sweet Andrea made a cake and took out time to teach her children, Milly and Brett about our mom. She also had a small picture of her. The best part was Alix tol me "That we wave the picture over the candles to blow them out." I thought wow were really technical over here and quite frankly I wasn't sure what I thought about it. However come to find out it was her idea and they really dont do that. However Andrea maybe you should, After all "Its like shes blowing out the candles herself"!!!

Last Day in the City Day 3

We were ready for this day it was going to be our most relxing day thus far for the trip and we were ready for it. It was sprinking at my sisters so we thought it would probably be the same or better in Manhattan. Yes we were positive thinkers, however this got us know where. It rained so hard we couldnt see places and it was just a mess. Ponchos did nothing. So we pretty much just stayed on the tour bus. But we did get off to eat Cheesecake at Ileans. It was fabulous than one of the workers suggested a place for lunch in Little Italy and WOW I would give anything to eat there again and again. Now I am a firm believer that all food is good in NY but this place really was fabulous and worth making the trip for. So we ate shopped as much as we could stand, we both were in jeans and lets face it you can only stand to be in wet jeans for so long. Plus we were excited to start spending time with Milly again and most of all my cousins and sister.

Central Park, Plaza Hotel and the famous BIG Piano

We than hopped on our Tour Bus that took us around Upper Manhattan. We had the worst tour guide, seriously I dont care where you live your parents and grandparents live. But aside from that we saw some really cool places like where Ghostbusters was filmed, where Steve Martin lives while in New York and others.

Grand Central Station

This is also where we waited the longest amount of time for a Subway and us and so many other people we standing there waiting, you can tell by the way I look that is was humid and hot down there. At one point I looked over to see a man next to me sweat just rolling down his face it was gross.

Brooklyn Bridge

After the we got off the Ferry we walked over and walked half of the Brooklyn Bridge. It would have been nice to walk it all however that means we would have had to walk back and we just didn't have time for that. It is an amazing Bridge so much detail to everything. I have no idea how many cables are on that Bridge but it has to be a ton.

Statue Of Liberty

I'm so glad my sister and travel agent told us to get advanced tickets, but by the time we did the crown was sold out but we were able to get pedestal, it was really neat to be able to go in and see this view. We enjoyed lunch on the Island and just walking around. It really was a privilege to go see Americas History.

Battery Park

It was a short walk from the reflection pools to Battery Park where we walked around the park and than got onto the fairy to see the Statue of Liberty. I remember seeing this sculpture here with Tiffany back in 2002 for some reason I remembered this sculpture really well. It stood in the World Trade Centers plaza.

I was so privileged and glad I was able to see these. They opened for the public on September 12 2011 and we got to see them just ten days latter. I can not describe the feeling I had in there. Even though we were surrounded by kids on a field trip that I dont really think they comprehend where they are there was still a spirit there. I'm so glad once again for this opportunity to have been there it truly was the highlight of my trip.

We had a little over an hour to kill before we could get into the memorial so we walked around and enjoyed some of the popular things to see in New York. You can no longer get very close to the Bull they have it fenced off ( I think to many inappropriate pictures with it).

The Protesters

It is crazy to think that these protesters have now stretched all across the US and even in SLC and we saw it starting to unroll in Manhattan. I get annoyed seeing these people, for one splint second I think well they have the right to vice their opinion and than on the other, well I shouldn't even get started because I wouldn't want to offend people who may read this. So after all that I will keep my opinions to myself. I know this is my journal and I should say how I feel but I worry to much about other people.

Day 2 9/11, Statue of Liberty, Central Park tour and more..

We talked so highly about waking up early so we could get in line to insure tickets to the 9/11 memorial (they opened part of it Sept 12 2011) but after being woke up by some cute kiddos at 4am our time and running around like crazy we were pretty tired so we did our best but we also took the wrong Subway so we actually didn't get there till like 9:30am when we were trying for 8, however it didn't matter we still received tickets for the 11am tour. We walked around in the temporary museum and just recalled and thought about the the timeline of the day we saw some really neat stuff. After we walked around the outside and just looked at near by buildings

And We Ate AGAIN

I stressed so much of the trip trying to eat at places my sister recommended or Bethany recommend but our other friend Steve simply said anywhere you eat is fine and he is right as you can see we ate tons this trip and everywhere was great. I especially loved the places just on the street, like in this picture Best Chili Dog ever!! For dinner we ate at some Australian restaurant mainly so Brett could watch the Rugby game.

Top of the Rock

I am so glad we choose to go to the Top of Rockefeller vs Empire, this way we were able to get a great view of the Empire State building so Thanks for the advice Andrea. We really enjoyed the view it felt like you could see forever. I pointed out the Statue of Liberty to Brett and I could see disappointment in his eyes he latter said he thought it would be a lot bigger. We for those who know we were still really far away from it so of course it will be a spec, but my guess is that "us" people who live so far and usually only see the Statue in pictures imagine it as being HUGE no matter where you are, after all its a symbol of Freedom and you dont think to ever be little that. Over all we saw great views and really enjoyed our time up there.

WOW was it great, I have been wanting to see this for about 4 years now, I really didn't know much about it and that was okay I still loved it. We had great seats and just enjoyed the whole thing. It was easy to follow and the whole play is just so fun I love the way its written.
Back When I was still working for the school district I won a trip to California but we asked if we could instead get a credit and use it for this trip, they let us so this is one of the things we did, I am so glad I won and Thank You Davis School District and Get Away Today Vacations!!!

I love Seinfeld and couldn't wait to try the Black and White cookie, Milly to wear her puffy pants, and try the Soup Kitchen. It is back in business and they very much act the part. They were rude and told us to step to the side (even though we were the only ones there). Although we did get our Bread!!! Also let me add Black and White cookies are amazing!!!

New York Day One

I will start the trip with saying Milly did great on the plane. We had a layover in Chicago and she took a great nap in her car seat, I love when planes are not full so you can bring you car seat on board. So once she got over the excitement of the plane she settled down and went to sleep. We arrived in New York late Tuesday night so it was pretty much go to bed and get ready to hit it hard in the morning. Andrea was so nice to take Milly and let Brett and I enjoy the City. We took the train and the first thing we saw was Madison Square Gardens. Brett I think was quizzing me and asked me if I knew what goes on here I replied I know this is where Apollo fought Drago LOL

We than got a quick look at the Empire State Building

Funny Milly

Milly is way to funny right now she is very big with sitting on mats, she will walk over from the wood flooring to go sit on a mat even if its the door mat. We are also winging her off Binkies so as you can see when she gets a hold of them she hold onto them for dear life.

Peach Days

We arrived at Peach Days just in time for the Parade, Milly loved it mainly because she is really into waving right now and well that's what people on the floats do. So needless to say we watched her wave to random people for a bout an hour. It was also fun to see her dance to the floats that played music. As well as go and just sit on some strangers lap ( I know we need to teach her about stranger danger). After we checked out all the booths and went to the car show and than to end my Peach Day experience we went and bought our Peaches!!!

I Passed!!!

I am completely officially done with school and have my Basic Esthetics license. Everything went so smoothly so smoothly that as soon as I was done I scheduled my test and figured things would continue to run smooth, however I passed the practical and failed the Theory. It was devastating to me. I cried and was so up set I was mad at mu school for not preparing me correctly and mad at myself for not studying more. So long story short I had to wait 30 days before I could retake it again those days were awful I lost so much sleep and it was always on the back burner. So for a month I studied every day and the day before the test I studied all day. I was still nervous and felt like I couldn't do it. I than received a beautiful blessing from Brett I felt somewhat better but still did not have all the confidence I wanted. He than reminded me that if I prepare to the best of my ability Heavenly Father will make up the rest and help me. This could not be more true, the day of the test I read the questions and still found myself what I thought to be guessing on them. It was such a hard test even when I submitted the test I still didn't feel confident I passed, however I did and passed with an 87%. I KNOW with no doubt I was helped from above and I now have testimony in this principle and am grateful for the experience. I can say I am glad I didn't pass the first time because I needed this experience.
Long story short this is what Brett bought for me. Thank you Brett for believing in me and knowing I could do this. He bought the bracelet a couple days before the retake test was because he knew I would do it!

Always in the Way

One of the things I'm trying to learn as a mother is to let Milly do things. Its hard for me because I'm not big on messes and pretty much everything she does leads to a huge mess, so whether I am mopping, sweeping (all the food she throws on the food) I would just rather do it myself so its done the way I want and done fast. But Milly wants to help, play and do. Sometimes its fun and sometimes annoying but I am learning and getting patience.

Davis County Fair

I love going to the Fair, it is the only good thing about Summer coming to a close. We enjoy seeing all the animals like chickens rabbits, cows and others. This year they even had some exotic animals like Camel, Zebra, plus others in the petting zoo. My favorite was seeing brand mew pigs, Pigs are my favorite animal and I loved seeing new ones. I reflected on times at Uncle Arnolds with new born pigs and how Uncle Arnold would always name them after us kids. I also thought of him and us picking them up and how they would make such a loud squeal and the mom would get so alert and go crazy for her babies. Anyway it was such a fun family night we really enjoyed.

Overall Yellowstone was a very fun Beautiful place. This isn't our typical vacation but we loved and am glad we did something different than go be a bum at the beach (which is usually what we do).

Milly loved playing in here, she also loved sitting on the wood block and danicing. She was quite a joy in her! At one point she looked like she was going to fall off the block so I went to help her and she quickly pushed my arm away.

At the Center they have a kids program where they get to hide the food for the bears. Micheal and Mackenzie were old enough and it looked like fun for them.

Grizzly Discovery Center

This was my favorite stop! Because we saw the Bears get into a little fight. Let just say it was all I could do to not clap at the end of the fight (okay I did clap). They fought because one of the Bears was getting into some food and the other wanted some. The wolves were pretty disappointing and I think that is because they all were to skinny ( I think I was expecting some huge tough wolves like in Twilight). But the Bears did not let me down they were exciting and also at times relaxing to watch.

Yellowstone Animals

Although I would of course like to have seen more, we did see Elk, a Bear, Deer, and Buffalo. An attendant taught us a little about the Buffalo and how fast it was. Once we learned that I think we all looked around and said to ourselves "well if he charges I know I am faster than this person" really though why so many people got so close was beyond me. The last day at the park Brett and I were leaving when we saw a huge amount of cars parked, we asked the guy what everyone was looking at and sure enough it was a Bear, I got out real quick while Brett parked the car. Neither one of us saw it to well but we did see it!!! The picture that all you see is a black spot is the Bear, like I said we didn't see him that well.

Hanging out at the Cabin

At the end of a long day of driving, sight seeing, walking and of course playing, we enjoyed coming back to Island Park where we stayed in a very nice comfortable cabin. We played games at night and had a marshmallow roast, and just hung out.

Hebgen Lake

It was fun going to this lake and seeing a Bald Eagle and learning some history of the Lake as well as hearing some stories of Grandpa Satterlee. Most of all it was fun to just relax and talk in the sun. We enjoyed a picnic, swimming and watching Chris fish. Were still not sure if Jayanne is being nice to Milly or not lol its just a funny picture!

Old Faithful Lodge

After lunch we walked into the Lodge, it was incredible, I would love to stay there some snowy day, we went to the gift shop and just looked around. One of the things I love about Milly is how much she loves others. So when I went to take this picture of her and Jayanne I loved that Milly just grabs her hand to hold she is the sweetest!

Old Faithful

We flied back to SLC from Seattle late Monday night, Tuesday was a busy day repacking for Yellowstone, so as you can imagine the suitcases did not get put away. As soon as I unpacked it and before I could repack it Milly was in it looking at me like "where to now mom"!

Red Mill Burgers (man vs food)

While picking up the rental car we told the attendant we were going to the zoo and he told us that we would have to go to Mill Burgers which was featured on Man vs food. The food was really good however I will still take a Big Daddy from Good times any day, what I would give to have Good Times in Utah!

So since we are not coffee drinkers I didn't get into the whole Starbucks thing, but by the end of the trip I figured that I haven't experienced Seattle to its fullest unless I go. So although I have been to the first Starbucks my Starbucks experience took place inside the airport. We were lucky too because the first one we saw was closed and I thought to myself "great I messed up this entire trip" Thankfully however 10 yards down was another one that was open and we were able to enjoy a Strawberry Frap (no Coffee of course) Amy told me she loved these drinks and she was right, I am still craving one!

I know we are very against going to eat on vacation at a place that we can eat at back home, but it was the only place Wayne and his family wanted to go. So setting that aside it was still the perfect evening that it really didn't matter, we enjoyed eating outside and on the pier.

At 2 different occasions we enjoyed coming here, on the day we left we decided to come one last time and I'm glad we did so much more was happening, I was able to see the fish get tossed and see much more performers, I enjoyed the doughnuts, seeing the first Starbucks, sampling all the YUMMY fruits, being part of the crowd and looking at all the different vendor booths.

Waynes House

I loved my brothers home, it felt like a resort. Even though it was great to go sight seeing around Seattle, we enjoyed most of our trip just hanging out at his house. We played games, walked around the lake, swam, having a marshmallow roast, playing on the Iceburg, tramp and log. These are all water toys that were so fun, I have to say I was the only one who made it across the whole log!!! It was also fun to canoe and go out in the paddle boat! It really was a great relaxing trip. I also have to say I never got sick of the view each time I walked into that house and looked out the window it took my breath away, he is lucky to be in such an incredible home.

Snoqualmis Falls

When Wayne told me we would go to the falls in no way did I think they would be this amazing. Snoqualmie Falls are bigger than Niagara Falls just not in width. It was part of a nice Sunday afternoon drive, we enjoyed going to many different places as well as seeing what Darcy's family likes to tease her about as being her first date destination!

So the reason we went to Seattle is because Brett has constantly got the shaft since Milly was born, I dont mean to do this it just happens. So after Milly s birthday I soon realized I needed to figure something out for Brett's Birthday so I began looking into the NHRA races and saw that they would be in Seattle so I called Wayne told him we were coming and bought all the tickets, I hope Brett enjoyed his day at the races and whole trip! At first I was nervous because Milly wanted nothing to do with her ear plugs, but once one funny car drove down with her not wearing them that was it, she didn't have a problem keeping them on the rest of the time. I enjoyed getting Brett and Millys picture with Robert Hight ( he blew up his car that same day) and we all got to sit in a top fuel car!!!

Seattles Gum Wall

To begin our Seattle trip Wayne picked us up and took us straight to Pikes Market, however our first stop was at the Gum Wall, The first day we went it was just Wayne and us, but on our last Day the whole family was there and Amy made sure we all had gum to contribute! At first I wasn't impressed but after seeing tons of shirts and other collectibles mentioning the Gum wall I realized it really is a tourist attraction lol.

Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle)

I think this was the highlight of Bretts Trip

We asked my family if the Zoo would be better or the aquarium and they voted on the Zoo, so we went and it is an incrediable one!! It was great to see animals out walking around and not sleeping. It was beautiful we enjoyed being surounded by nature everywhere. I also loved seeing the Giraffes out, every time in Colorado I have only seen them in a small cage, the exhibits were so nice you thought you were on an Africa Safari

I am getting to old to have crazy rides o the tube, so I thought that I could ride with Cal and it wouldn't be to bad at all and yes I wasn't holding on with all my strength but still it wasn't a joy ride, I guess I'm saying that it is probably mine and Cals last ride together in another year he will be stronger and want to go even more faster and crazier. It was a fun ride with him he got so excited the whole time you couldn't wipe the smile of his face.

I always love going back to the school and reminiscing while walking around the campus, we were in hope they would be open so we could update our Sweat shirts but once again we hit them on a Holiday weekend so they were closed 9 times out of 10 they are when we go. After the parade we went over to the park and they had some activities for the kids, Bella won the crawling contest that they had and Milly participated in a walk/running contest between 1 and 2 year olds, she smiled and had no clue what to do, but at least she had fun! One weekend we were planning on going with Chirs and his family to take grandpas boat out, I was super excited for this. Well around 5pm Chirs called and said Grandma just sold it. So I got off the phone went down stairs told Brett I wanted to go boating so we would go to Saint George, and we did. We packed real quick and were out the door. We stopped in SLC for dinner so we didn't get there till way late. The next day we went to the parade because my nephews Danell and Bella were in it. It started at 8:30am and we got there at 8:45 missed the whole thing however I did get this picture at the end!

Dixie and Darcys Visit

Towards the end of July my nieces were at a retreat in Logan and my brother asked me if I could get them when it ended. So I did and they stayed here over night, I dont think Twilight ever stopped playing during the 12 hours they were here. We also took them to Clinton City's Parade!

We enjoyed one Saturday getting away with Brett's parents to go to Sunridge and enjoy lunch and hanging out. I still cant believe how pretty it is up there. I love it every time. After we ate lunch we all went on a walk. Milly wanted to walk a lot of it so what distance was about a quarter of a mile was more like a mile, but we still enjoyed watching her!

West Point Fireworks

After Clearfields celebrations we went to Grandma Singletons and watched Fireworks with her, Brian + family, and Daune and Jill. Our firend Robert lives across the stree from where they were doing them and he put on a great show. This was the first year that Utah legalized more bigger fireworks and people really enjoyed it! It was also fun to be with his family, I think that was the first time I have seen Fireworks with Brett's parents!

Grandpa Satterlee's Headstone

This year went faster than most and I know its cause of Milly but still seems to soon for Grandpa to have already be gone one year. After we went to Laytons 4th celebrations and before hitting Clearfields we went to see and reflect. This is our new tradition to do this every year on his anniversary. We would have stayed longer to tell Milly stories about him but we were getting soaked due to sprinklers.

I am so out of order on my posts but what do you do right! Our 4th started a little slow it was just Milly and I again because Brett was still helping his brother with the roof, so we decided to go to the Layton City Parade, we were running really late, when my friend called and said she just saw our banner on the Davis Hospital float, so we hurried and were able to catch the end of the parade and also see the float. After we went to Target and bought a pool with the intention to use it that afternoon, but the rain came in and we didn't end up using it that day. Once Brett got home we went to Layton and walked around for a while looking at all the different booths than over to Clearfield for the same thing.

I have felt bad for Brett since Milly has been here because he kind of gets the shaft in a lot of things, I'm not sure even what we did last year for his birthday since it was 17 days after Milly was born but this year I made it up to him by giving him tickets to the NHRA races in Seattle. Milly is not at all picky when it comes to Baby food she eats all the veggies, fruits and meats, but when it comes to adult food or even stage 3 foods she is INCREDIBLY annoying. So I knew she would give no show to digging into the cake. So I didn't even bother with it, instead I gave her a cupcake and well you can see for yourself in the end we ended up with a pretzel rod for a treat. Thanks Brent and Brenda for suggesting the only food item she will eat outside of Baby food.

I had such a fun time planning this party. I decided to go with a zebra theme because she has a way cute skirt that was given to us from my friend Roslyn. Anyway I decded not to do a full dinner becusae I wanted to use Apotacary jars and do a bunch of desserts. So we just did fruit, veggies, chips and salsa. We also had pink (of course) lemonade and for the desserts a beautifl cake, strawberry cookies with a hug on top so the look zebraish, white popcorn, black licorice, pink and white frosted circu cookies,I also had a bakery make hot pink donuts. I thought everything looked so cute!!

So I have hesitated so much in posting these pictures because I didn't want people to think we were bragging, however this is my journal and I will always want to brag about my little girl right!!! So that being said I know I already talked about the experience we had but the Billboard is now up, it went up in May. It was weird too how it went up because the night I was driving home from school I noticed that they took the old Davis Raymond Billboard down. However it was some other billboard and not us. I was kind of bummed thinking we wouldn't be up. However the next day I ran into my brother in law Brian at Office Depot and he said he saw us! It has been fun to see just how many people have noticed even people from church who we dont know and I didn't think ever noticed me would recognize us. Anyway long story short I am so glad my family got to be a part of this I know Milly will love seeing "Life size Milly" as Casche would say!!! It is also fun to see because the Billboard is right in between Kaysville and Layton heading North so Brett gets to see his girls everyday!

Milly is Walking!

If people asked about Milly walking I would always say not yet, but hopefully by her birthday and that was only because she wore a huge puffy zebra skirt so it would just be easier. Well on June 27th she decided she would walk. She wasn't great but has made some major improvement in just the short two weeks.

Sunset City Days 2011

In the past we have really enjoyed the activities that Sunset does for there city celebration, however this year was weak. No Bingo, No Flame throwing contest done by Cars (okay that isn't as great as it sounds but we would still go). So we were bummed we really enjoyed picking up Grandma Satterlee, Grandpa and Scott walking over and playing Bingo. However we still went, got an Elephant ear and than played games waitning for Fireworks. Milly was so tired that she just turned her head to the side. She didn't fuss though!!!
