Go Utes!!!

Today Casandra and I went to the Utes game, it was a blast, it was a really fun date. The Utes won of course, byu lost of course (perfect day). Grandma and Grandpa watched Milly so Casandra and I could go. So here are some pictures of the family on game day.

Our little sleeper

So I think all along Milly has been a pretty good sleeper. After 3 or 4 weeks she has pretty much always woken up just once in the night around 3 or 4. After talking to several people, that is apparently pretty dang good. Well this week, Wednesday, Milly slept from 8:30 pm to 7:30 am...it was heaven, especially since I had worked security at a concert that night. So we are proud of you Milly.

Sleeping story #2
I don't know what it is, but she is quite the escape artist, she can wiggle her way out of a blanket no matter how tightly wrapped she is, and when she can't get out, you can see the kind of effort she has still put in. Yes she is wearing pajamas and has wiggled her way out of them almost to her waist.

Milly and Aunt Bethany

Okay so she is not really her Aunt but I know Milly will love her like one. Bethany has helped me out so much she helped me get through the tuff times of my pregnancy and now helped me raise this precious gift. I have had so many questions and Bethany has always ran over to help. I will never forget the night I was so tired and couldn't go on another minute, Brett was at security and Bethany came right over let me go to bed and held Milly till Brett got home. Bethany Thank you so much for all you are. You have been the Best friend to me. You have also shown me the kind of friend, person and mother I want to be. I cant Thank you enough I love you and appreciate all you do for us. This is why I was so honored to have Milly wear the same Blessing dress Bethany was blessed in, it means so much to me, and if by some odd chance you are not always in our life, I cant wait to teach Milly about the Girl that took care of her as well as her mommy, taught her mom to be a better person, wife, friend and mom.
Bethany Thanks again for all you are we love and appreciate you.

Millys 2 month

Milly did great. She only cried for about 5 seconds, which surprised me, her first visit did not go well at all. I think that they should give her the Rotavirus after the shots becuase that would have either kept her from crying or would have made her stop sooner than 5 seconds. Milly loved Rotavirus, I learned from Bethany that its because they dilute it with tons of sugar. Its now 4 pm and she is still doing great very happy and showing no signs of discomfort hopefully that will continue.
Her stats are...
Height 22 36%
Weight 10.5 36%
OFC 15 33%
Doctor said she is doing great and of course cute as ever!!!
She has been really fun, she was rolling over like crazy since she was about 2 weeks, but now that she is getting a big gut she is struggling with it a little. It has been so nice that her eye sight is getting stronger because now she can entertain herself and enjoys her bounce chair and swing, which she use to hate.

Granpas Funeral

In my life I have witnessed very few humbling experiences. Attending Grandpas funeral will forever be held closely in my heart. I always knew what an exceptional man he was but seeing the people who attended the funeral and the service itself only testified that much more to me. It made me ask the question "What have I done with my life and what will my funeral be like? Will I have accomplished, and be as successful as he? I can tell you the answer now and thats NO. Grandpa served in the Military and was the Head Chief for the Sunset Fire Department. He worked hard to provide for his family, making it possible for his wife to stay at home. He was hard working and loving. I remeber a few years ago the table in our back yard blew over, me being lazy figured it could sit there till Brett got home. Grandpa was looking out at the chickens when he noticed the table and insisted on fixing it. I remember filling so guilty, what if he hurt himself. Thankfully he didn't and he also didn't like my help either. He was very independent to say the least.
