Landscape Arch

Our last day we decided to hike to Landscape Arch this Arch is know for being the longest Arch it is an entire Football Field. We were also glad to have such an easy hike that day because I think we were still all drained from the previous days hikes.

Pasta Jays

While Brett and I were planning this trip lots of our friends had tips on what to do. Well one of Brett's coworkers didn't give us info on where to eat but he sure did tell us where not to eat his words were "DO NOT EAT AT PASTA JAYS" anyway so this is a picture we took and sent to him, we didn't really eat there!

Sand Dunes

After dinner we took Milly up to the Sand Dunes she may not like Chocolate Chip cookies like I do but she loved playing in the sand which is something I loved to do when I was little. I loved watching her run, and just play. It was very relaxing to watch her and just a great way to end the day!

More of the Park

After we had lunch we drove around to some other archs and Balancing rock we were all pretty tuckered out though so we went back to the Hotel in hopes Milly would take a nap with no luck we then took her swimming then to dinner!

Delicate Arch

My dad thought that Milly's head band was a sweat band and she was already for a big workout!
So this was the reason for the trip I have always wanted to see this arch. I may find the mountains and such beautiful but give me dry desert, red sand, rocks and that is Paradise to me. This Arch does not disapoint either it was breath taking. When we arrived at the Archs we first talked to the information people they informed us that this is the hardest hike in the whole park. My Dad then got worried about me doing it being pregnant and all (Brett I think knows me to well and although concerned knew I could still do it and nothing would stop me) I dont want people to think that it is at all dangerous its just a lot of up hill, I would never put my baby at risk. Anyway we began our hike and I set the pace. No one complained I was going to slow after all my Dad is in his 70ties and Brett was packing Milly so we actually were all on the same level. It was funny because Brett would usually be in the middle and Milly was always so concerned on where Grandpa was, so Brett would have to stop wait for my Dad so she could see him. She was a big fan of my Dad. It took us a while but we made it and like I said so worth it, I could have spent forever there I loved it. After we were done it took us all about 20 minutes to get back to the car, down hill is so much faster compared to the 2 hours to get there. The bottom picture is a family picture of us, I really wish the people taking the picture would have zoomed in a little. Seriously I'm not asking people to be photographers but can you at least take a picture the way you would want it taken?

Moab Fun pictures

When I was going through the pictures I didn't dare delete this one of my dad combing his hail, my sisters and brother can tell you that my dad is obsessed with making sure his hair is perfect in every picture so I was glad I captured some "behind the scenes" of what happens just before every picture.

Also the one of Milly, dont judge us. Yes she wore a leash but she thought it was pretty cool and there are so many cliffs I really needed all the help I could get on keeping her safe.

Moab

Well I have always thought that I would be so mad at myself if I ever lived in Utah all these years and never made it to Moab. Well I finally got there, I sure picked an interesting time to go at 7 1/2 months prego but hey you do what you can right! We lest on Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend it was quite interesting of a drive we drove through snow and rain to arrive in Moab with weather perfect. I was nervous because we have had such a hot summer already I was hoping it wouldn't be to bad and it wasn't. Once we got there we meet up with my dad and went to lunch. After lunch we checked into the HIE and got settled and then left for Dead horse point and Canyon Lands. I'm so glad we went in the order we went because each place just got more and more breathtaking and so you were never disappointed. We did a couple shorter hikes this afternoon came back and had dinner and that was pretty much for day one!
