Millys 1st Christmas

She had such a great Christmas. We got to have her grandpa from Colorado spend some time with us and had Danells family come into town as well. She got some really great gifts as well. A couple days before Christmas she got a Little People Nativity from her Grandpa that I let her play with before Christmas. Christmas Eve we made a new tradition of eating Breakfast with the Tuia's they gave her a ring stacker that she loves! That night we enjoyed with my family at Kristie's house and Santa made a surprise visit and brought her "If take a mouse to the movies". She loved Santa but I will have to say the best was watching Cade with Santa. he was so concerned where the reindeer were and if Santa liked Milk and Cookies. I can't wait for Milly to really get into Santa like that. Once we got home from Kristies we did our own tradition of opening up pajamas apparently it was a Utes themed all but Milly got Ute pj's but even than her's were red. We sang Silent night and just enjoyed holding our little one by the tree. IN the morning we headed of to the parents house. We enjoyed Breakfast and opening gifts. Milly got a Precious Planet jump a roo that she thinks is AMAZING, little people, farm clothes, from Great grandma Satterlee a push button popcorn thing and Formula from Grandma Singleton. What a spoiled little girl! She has friends a family that love her so much. After that we came home and opened our gifts than I got cooking a cleaning to host my first Christmas Dinner. I enjoyed doing it. Yes lots of kids may stress me out but I really do enjoying having my whole family here minus Andrea and Wayne (missed you guys so much). After my family we left again to enjoy dinner with Bretts family. It was a long perfect busy day.

Our New House!!!

Finally we sold! It took ages, and even though we were so against having a realtor we finally decided to give it a shot and were glad we did, We found a great one! We listed our house mid September and a week later she had it under contract with a back up offer as well. She even got more than we were asking for! So in these tough times we feel incrediablly grateful to sell our home still get a good price on it and get into this beautiful home. We are so excited to have the room for a growing family (no thats not an announcment. Food Storage, Watter Barrells for storage and so much more. I am so grateful for this home I love everything about it! I also cant wait for the summer to of course do summer remodeling!

Family Bets

Each one of Brett's Family members has there own NFL team they like, so Brett thought it would be fun to do a small bet on who ever wins get dinner from the other person lets just say I owe a lot of dinners this season (stinking Broncos). However we did manage a win over the Seahawks which if I had to pick someone in Brett's family to beat Chris would definitely be my pick even though Brian likes the Raiders, Chris sure is a fun won to beat. He made us a great dinner and I even had to rub it in some more with wrapping his Birthday present in Broncos paper.

Living with the Inlaws

For a month while we were waiting to get into our new house we lived at Brett's Parents. We enjoyed our time there very much. Milly loved seeing are being spoiled by grandparents. Brett enjoyed seeing his parents more. Although I enjoyed both of those things my favorite part was looking out the window and seeing wheat, corn, pumpkin fields everywhere. I love this sight and I think the reason why is because you are not only seeing Gods hand in all things but the hard work of farmers planting tiny seeds in a ugly muddy dirt field and there hard work turns into something so relaxing a beautiful to see.

The last few weeks...

Top Left: Milly helping to hang her 1st Christmas ornament.
Top Right: The morning of the big game, I guess both girls were in tune enough to know what was going to happen. Milly of course with her CRT...choose the red, and her poor cousin Jayanne that we are still trying to convert.
Bottom Left: On Thanksgiving Milly got her first chance to try real food...kind of, this was her first bites of oatmeal. She did really good with it, now she absolutely loves it.
Bottom Right: Mom and Milly happy together.

I am going to do this the rest of the month on Thursdays and so should YOU!!!
Today I am most Thankful for my Heavenly Father, who loves me so much that he would bless me to have the most incredible husband and most amazing little girl. I am so blessed and everyday I look at the both of them and wonder why I deserve them and realize that it is only through his grace and love that I have them. I am one Lucky Girl!

Dr. Spencer

So I know everyone thinks they have a great OB but I really have an amazing one. As some may know Brett and I had somee problems with having children my old OB was going to make me have 3 miscarriages before he was going to run test and look better into things. SO my friend Stacey referred me to Dr. Spencer in Farmington and I am so glad she did. We enjoyed him so much and cant say enough about him he is great. At my 6 week checkup he gave Milly this outfit and recieving Blanket, this outfit means a lot to me it reminds me of how special and such a beautiful gift she is and most of all HOW LUCKY I AM TO HAVE HER NOW in my life. His note read...
Congratulations! May you and your new baby be blessed with health and happiness. Helping to bring your baby into this world was a pleasure.
I think the pleasure was ours and I am truly grateful for all his care during my pregnancy.

Milly is 4 months old!

So here are the stats.
Height: 24.5" 55th percentile
Weight: 13.7 lbs 50th percentile
Head Size: 16" 45th percentile

One more Milly halloween picture, this is Milly with her great grandma. One thing we love about Milly is how much she loves her great grandmas. She loves to be held by them.

Milly sitting by the last of the fall leaves. This smile is before she saw the score, from TCU Vs Utah game.

Milly and Peyton at Gardner Village, as much as we tried to get the girls to start being best friends, they really didn't even look at each other. I love Milly's expression here.

Milly thinks she is so independent. For a few weeks now, she has to hold her bottle by herself for her whole feeding. If you try to help she pushes your hand away.

I don't know what to say about this picture except I think she looks like a southern girl.

Flashback Friday

So I think I got this idea to do Flashback Friday from Shelly but anyway I was getting ready today and put on my "Push" present from Brett, I will blog about that latter and I was thinking that I didn't even have my nails done when he gave it to me. Not having my nails done is very odd for me since I do them and all, but with moving and still getting use to this new life of having a baby I actually dont do them a lot lately, but anyway it reminded me of and this is the Flashback of when Tanya got proposed too, she came up to me and said look I got my nails done. At that time I was younger and really didn't care about nails like I do now. I replied "nice" and carried on. I latter found her crying, when I asked what was wrong she said that I didn't even care she was engaged. Honestly I didn't notice the ring and quite frankly if she did that today I would be checking out her nails and not the ring.

Happy Halloween from the CUTEST MOTH AROUND

I will replace this with a better picture but I do like it becuase it is funny that Milly loves the chin strap up on her lips so she can lick it. She is licking everything. The other day she wa playing on a mat and pillow of her grandmas and when I went to move her it was soaked. She was acting like a type writer going back and forth of licking it. I guess she would have a made a better puppy with all the licking she is doing. Thanks Bethany for letting her wear this cute costume. And Danell she is not Bella the Butterfly she is Milly the Moth. Okay now I better explain, While Danell and I were still pregnant and talking about names we were going to name our girls Danell came up with Bella and one day at Target she found a book called "Bella Butterfly" she thought she better buy it in case she did end up naming her baby Bella. As she read the book she noticed the character Milly Moth. She called to tell me I needed to go read and buy this book. As you can probably guess Beautiful Bella Butterfly probably is beautiful and poor Milly Moth doesn't have a high self esteem I mean really have you ever seen a pretty moth. Well non the less I bought the book anyway, not to ruin the book (I'm sure your all dying to go buy it) but Milly Moth does see her beauty in the end. Danell and I always joke about this book. Right before Milly was born Brett stepped on a moth right in front of me and it broke my heart. Milly also has lots of toy butterfly's, I mean toy Moths.

More Milly pics

So I talked Casandra into getting a new camera, because everybody had a nice one but us. With the addition of Milly I really wanted to be able to take some nice pictures. I am no photographer, so they really shouldn't be judged that way, but I think there are some pictures of the two most precious girls in my life.

This is Milly in her Jenny Jump-Up. For the most part she still hates it, but we did give her another try and she smiled for a few minutes before we had a meltdown in it.

This is Milly getting ready for her photo shoot/commercial, she is a lot like her cousin Jayanne, she loves the camera.

Milly wearing her pumpkin shirt grandma gave her.

Just another cute picture of her.

Milly in her bumbo, this is another chair we got for her, again when we started she was not too sure about it all, but she has grown to be ok with it.

A picture of Milly at her grandma and grandpa's house, where she is living for the next few weeks.

2 Beautiful girls

2 Beautiful girls and daddy.

Thanks Casandra for all you do for Milly and I. You are such a great wife and mother, me and Milly both love you.

In Septermber we went to Saint George for Bellas Blessing. It was our first trip with Milly and she did great. The best part of the trip was taking her to the Temple and reflecting on where our family began.

Milly Pearl

I have had a few people ask me where we came up with Pearl for her middle name.
Back in May Grandpa Satterlee was once again diagnosed with Cancer. As time drew closer and closer to having Milly Brett and I still could not figure out a middle name, we found nothing that we were sold on. We kept waiting for the moment to hit us when we knew what her middle name would be without a doubt. Even being in the Hospital while Brett was filling out the papers we still didn't have a clue. We finally just decided to name her Sandra after my mom. Well like I have blogged about before Brett's Grandpa passed away shortly after seeing a picture of Milly. He had been having a hard day but while he looked at her picture he was completely at peace. He asked if she was okay and healthy, the answer was yes and that was all he needed. Thats what he was fighting for. I am so grateful to be a part of Milly's life to be a apart of a family that loves her so much and would fight to stay alive for.
I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
After Grandpa passed away I was looking at Milly and thinking of Grandpa while reflecting of his life I thought about his many War stories, I thought about how every time he came over he would look at the fish and say "Those fish remind me of being at Pearl Harbor" than it hit me Pearl was the name I was waiting for I told Brett and he loved it as well. I could see in Bretts eyes the honor he felt that I would come up with such a name and that I would want that to be her name instead of my moms. We soon went and applied for a name change and have loved her name since. She truly is her Great Grandpa's little Angel. It has now been 3 months since grandpas passing, I still struggle with him gone. It brings a tear to my eye writing this, but I know I have a small peace of him in her that I will enjoy for years and years. Milly Pearl Singleton you are so loved.

Duane's New Calling

Recently Duane was called to be the 2nd counselor in the Stake Presidency. I keep waiting for the day he will not have such a demaning calling but I just dont think it will come and thats okay. Since knowing him he has been a bishop than the Secretary for the Stake and now this. He will do an amazing job. At Grandpa's funeral he made the remark to Brett that he wonders if he will ever accomplish and touch so many lives like Grandpa. I have no doubts that he already has. You do great Duane and were excited for you!!

Is there any wonder why she has me wrapped around her finger? As you can see she has her outfits for the weekend until the end of football season.

Cades Pretty Cute

Cade is at such a fun stage, I love listening to him talk and hes just so fun right now. A few weeks ago when we got together for my Dads 70th birthday party. Cade got to feed Milly, He told his mom "Mommy I feed Milly her water bottle". He loves her so much and I love that at such a small age he knows who she is and does not get her confused with the other young ones.

More about Millys Sleep Patterns

So like we said before she has always been a really good sleeper at night. She doesn't sleep for crap during the day but sleeps wonderful at night. at about 2 weeks she only woke up once around 3pm and it stayed that way till about 9 weeks than we would get more nights of her sleeping till about 4-5-or 6 at 11 weeks she really was sleeping all night. Now at 12 weeks she wakes up around 4 or 5. So still pretty good. At 11 weeks she became more stronger and was getting out of her blanket and twisting around. She is great rolling over from her stomach to back I noticed she could go from either side at about 12 weeks as well. She has always rolled over great she started even before 2 weeks but is just now to the point that you put her on her tummy blink and she is back to her back. Also September 28th was her first laugh, I loved it becuase I was the one who got her to laugh and I always thought that job would have went to Brett.

Millys Blessing

The Dittbrenner Gang
Grandma and Grandpa Singleton
Great Grandma Satterlee
Great Grandma Singleton
The Browns
The Tuia's
We blessed Milly so quickly after she was born so that most of my family could be there. We messed you Andrea, but anyway they were here for a family reunion. So the first Sunday in August we blessed her. Brett gave such a beautiful and most of all perfect blessing. I love how perfect he is in situations like this. After family and friends came over for some Brunch.

Milly and Peytons 1st sleepover

Towards the end of the summer we had the Elzingas over to go swimming and stay the night with us, since Brett was going to be working a late night. Milly and Peyton enjoyed sitting in there chairs however Peyton did swim a little. The girls enjoyed their baths Peyton a little more than Milly. I cant wait to watch these two little girls grow up.

Utah Vs BYU

So I never bought into the whole BYU people are more righteous than Utes people are. But my own husband proved this theory to be right. ON the 24th of July we went down to the SLC Parade (not a huge fan of parades so hopefully Milly took in her one and only parade). Anyway we had to leave early to make it back to Sunsets Bingo. We had parked up by the capital building and let me just remind you I had my baby just 20 days before all this well we started to walk up the huge I Mean HUGE hill when we got to the top we looked over and we had went up the wrong street and there was no way to get over to our car. So we than proceed down the huge hill and began walking up it again. I was so tired, hit and miserable Milly wasn't very happy either. By this time the parade was now over and I see a guy wearing a BYU shirt, I figured I would see just how nice and "perfect" the kid was. I told him what had happened and asked if he could give my husband a ride up the hill. I than noticed he was carrying around scriptures as well. He was nice enough to give Brett a ride. Latter once Brett picked me up I had asked Brett if he was mad at me for doing that and if that made him uncomfortable. Brett said "no I was okay with it I had my gun" So there you have it BYU fans carry their scriptures while Brett carries his gun. I'm just glad they are better people and could look past Bretts Utes hat and still give him a ride.

Go Utes!!!

Today Casandra and I went to the Utes game, it was a blast, it was a really fun date. The Utes won of course, byu lost of course (perfect day). Grandma and Grandpa watched Milly so Casandra and I could go. So here are some pictures of the family on game day.

Our little sleeper

So I think all along Milly has been a pretty good sleeper. After 3 or 4 weeks she has pretty much always woken up just once in the night around 3 or 4. After talking to several people, that is apparently pretty dang good. Well this week, Wednesday, Milly slept from 8:30 pm to 7:30 am...it was heaven, especially since I had worked security at a concert that night. So we are proud of you Milly.

Sleeping story #2
I don't know what it is, but she is quite the escape artist, she can wiggle her way out of a blanket no matter how tightly wrapped she is, and when she can't get out, you can see the kind of effort she has still put in. Yes she is wearing pajamas and has wiggled her way out of them almost to her waist.

Milly and Aunt Bethany

Okay so she is not really her Aunt but I know Milly will love her like one. Bethany has helped me out so much she helped me get through the tuff times of my pregnancy and now helped me raise this precious gift. I have had so many questions and Bethany has always ran over to help. I will never forget the night I was so tired and couldn't go on another minute, Brett was at security and Bethany came right over let me go to bed and held Milly till Brett got home. Bethany Thank you so much for all you are. You have been the Best friend to me. You have also shown me the kind of friend, person and mother I want to be. I cant Thank you enough I love you and appreciate all you do for us. This is why I was so honored to have Milly wear the same Blessing dress Bethany was blessed in, it means so much to me, and if by some odd chance you are not always in our life, I cant wait to teach Milly about the Girl that took care of her as well as her mommy, taught her mom to be a better person, wife, friend and mom.
Bethany Thanks again for all you are we love and appreciate you.
