Rugby

We got to go to the new REAL soccer stadium in SLC and watch a Rugby game. It was fun, even though I had no idea what was going on, however Lindsey helped me out alot. Thanks Linds. I would have to say my favorite part was watching New Zealand do the Haka. It was pretty cool. We had a great time with our neighbors Jace and Lindsey, and Thankfully it was so nice outside.

Denver Airport

So we had to throw this in, just becuase we have never seen the Denver Airport like this before. Usually you wait in the security line forever. My dad makes sure he drops you off FOREVER EARLY just so he feels at ease. Anyway he was giving us a bunch of crap how DIA is not like the SLC airport in that you cant just walk right up to security and not have to wait. Well Dad check this out. NO WAIT. SLC is even busier than that. LOVE YA DAD.

Denver Zoo

On our last day in Denver we needed to kill a few hours before heading to the airport, we were already in the Denver area so we decied to kill those hours at the zoo. It was great, I'm pretty sure the last time I was at a zoo was in elementry school. We had fun of course doing anything would be fun since we were with my dad.

Scoreboard

We had so much fun bowling. Its something Brett and I havent done since I think we were dating. My dad is such big talk about how he is going to kick our butts. As you can see we both beat him. Of course he blamed it on his elbow hurting. Dad all I can say is SCOREBOARD.

What do I hear????

While we were in Denver we helped my Dad
repaint the Deck. It was a lot of work, but so nice to help him out. While working I kept hearing a sound, finally I found out that it was coming form a woodpacker in my dads yard. I thought It was kind of cool that he had a woodpacker in his own yard. Dad and Brett kind of made fun of me that I was so intrigued by this but oh well.

Moms Grave

So I made sure I made it a point to see my moms grave while we were in Denver. I feel bad that this was the first time for Brett. Its just that all the other times in Denver we have been so busy and they have been such short trips. It made me feel so good to have Brett see it. and reflect on what I remember about my mom, and what he remembers me telling him about her.

Broncos vs Miami

At the end of October Brett and I went to Colorado for a Broncos vs Miami game. It was our first NFL game ever and how cool is it that we were able to see our favorite teams play each other. I cant say enough about how fun it was. Even though we were pretty high up. Lets just say I know what the nose bleed section really means and I felt the mile high fever. But it was great. We won talk about who won, but I am happy Brett got to see his team win even if they did beat us. Al l I have to say to Brett Is "GO BACK TO SEAWORLD". Thats what all the Broncos fans were yelling at him. It was kind of funny, I liked it anyway. We also got so luck not to get stuck in traffic on our way home, it was great.

Relaxation before the plane ride home

So I was able to talk Brett into going to a Spa at the end of our trip, I thought that especially after surfing and about to be cramped in an airplane for 8 hours it would be so nice. Im so gald we did. We slept so good on the plane the whole flight seemed like 15 minutes I LOVED IT. Im not really a fan of planes, my back hurts so bad on them. I remember Brett waking me up at one point wondering if the lights he was seeing were of Texas or California, I told him no way we cant be that far they must be of Maui or one of the other islands. Well we were both wrong they were of Salt Lake. Best Plane Ride EVER.

Last Day

So surfing made us very hungry, we went back to the hotel got ready packed and checked out. Walked down the street to a Burger place. They had pretty good food. After we decided to have our picture by this water fountain, didnt think much of it and j walked across, everyone was doing it and we had done it our whole trip. We thought we would ask the police to take our picture, they said yes but first they needed some information from us. We were a little confused at first than they told us that they could issue us a j walking ticket, but that they would just give us a warning. We thought we were pretty lucky, However dont the cops have anything else better to do than issue j walking tickets; like patrol the beach for example. There were two different times that people tried to get us to buy weed from them.

Lets Go Surfing NOW

So I thought it would be wise to go surfing on our last day, so in case we got hurt and needed to use the good old aflac at least if wouldnt ruin the rest of our trip. However Im so mad that we did, I think if we had done it as our first activity we would have surfed the hole trip. It was so fun. It really kicks your butt though, I was so tired and sore. But we both had a blast and neither or us got hurt. Cant wait to do it again sometime. Our instructor was pretty cool, he took us out to some bigger waves (not like they were huge or nothing) but a lot better than most of the class got. So now I can say I surfed yeah I always wanted to say that.

Top of The Wakiki Restaurant

On one of our last nights there we decided we would eat at a more fancy restaurant. Like my title says your on top of the city. The restaurant slowly circles around so you get a view of everything as you watch the sunset it was such a romantic dinner. Have I mentioned how great the food was in Hawaii. Here we had Lobster Enchilladas and Buffalo chicken cord on bleu. Oh to die for so good. (Im sure your beg. to think all I did was eat).

Mel, This ones for you

So of course we got so many opinions from people on what to do, where to go and where to eat. Our friends from Denver Mel and Russ told us to make sure we stopped by this Mexican Restaurant and boy it was yummy. I loved all the food we had on our trip especially the Shrimp Shacks on the side of the road. UMMM Garlic Shrimp.

Hawaii Temple

So I always joked to my dad about how I was going to get married in this temple. Now I wish I had. NO I wouldnt trade my temple for anything. I Love the St. George temple. But this one is gorgeous, the Landscaping is so beautiful, and just like all Temples it really takes your breath away. I love that when you walk onto the Temple grounds a Sister missionary greets you with a Flower to wear in your hair. She explains that if worn on the left side you are taken on the right you are available and in the middle means that your not sure what you are.

PCC Night Show

WOW, let me just say AMAZING. The night show is incrediable. My favorite Island dance was the Tahiti Island, I wish I could shake it like those women do, not only that but it was just a really fun entertaing dance. Bretts of course was New Zealand because he got to see them do the Haka ( I will say it was pretty cool). All of the Island dances we great though another one I thought was good was the Figi one. Anyway it is for sure wortht the extra money and a every fun exciting show.

PCC Luau

I loved the Luau's food, it was so good. Of course the Pineapple drink was yummy as well. The Luau itself I was a little disapointing in that I think they put so much into there night show that the Luau's kind of suffer, but still fun to see.

Canoe Ride

Once we arrived at the PCC we went on the canoe ride. The ride gives you a brief tour and history of all the different Islands being representd. All the workers loved Brett because of his shirt he was wearing (All Blacks). I felt like we got special treatment. Once the ride was over we walked around the different Islands It was kind of dissapointing because they were all getting ready for the Luau so we didnt get to see much.

On Our Way To The Polynesian Cultural Center

We rode a tour bus to the PCC, it was nice to have someone telling us of the history and pointing things out. However, did we really need to stop so he could have a smoke break? Apparently so, oh well what do youd do. The picture taken from the outside of the beach I just thought was pretty and the one taken from inside the bus is where they filmed Jurassic Park.

Once we left the falls we decided to hike up a little higher, well we werent seeing anything so we were turning around when somepeople told us that we needed to go a little further to see this tree. They said we couldnt miss is. They were right its one interesting tree.

Ala Moana Falls and Rainforest

This rainforest was so beautiful, so green and so many beautiful colors. Its a Pretty easy hike, but challenging in the way that you have to watch you feet to make sure you dont slip and fall on you butt (very muddy). We were surrounded with Bamboo and Palm trees. This forest is also where they filmed part of LOST. When we got to the water falls we were so upset that someone would lite up a cigar up there. It made me so sick and hard to want to stay up there. I Cant Believe That some people can be so RUDE. We hiked a little bit higher after seeing the falls and my shoe came of. Nothing sucks more than mud in between your toes. So we turned around especially since people were telling us that there was nothing to even see up higher. Funny thing to we ran into some people who were LDS as well and just moved there from SLC. Small world.
