Davis Cares Awards 2012

This year Brett took part in nominating one of his coworkers Stacey Paskett for the Davis Cared Awards. The committee receives tons of applications from the entire district and then picks ten people. Out of the ten each one receives $1,000. Stacey ended up winning one. I'm not sure if she ever will find out who nominated her or not but she did invite us to sit at her table and enjoy the night. The award ceremony is held at the Davis conference center, we enjoyed dinner music and the presentation of the awards. It was a great evening!
However why I choose to blog about this is to I recognize just how special Brett is to me and how he has touched so many other people. Each of the winners talked about the things they do for the district to make it better and that's fine after all this award is for your outstanding achievement. But what really impressed me is Stacey recognized Brett, you honestly would have thought Brett received the award and not her. She talked about her amazing Boss that hired her and taught her correct principles on how to do this job, it was through him on why she is good at her job. She mentioned things like when someone calls you return that call the same day, you dont procrastinate anything. She also talked about how he is just the best at what he does.
Now I see this and tell him this everyday but for some reason I guess its not the same. But Brett you are looked up to by so many and amazing to so many as well. Its times like this that make me reflect on just how great my life is. I keep waiting for the day I will wake up and find out Brett is just a dream. That no man can truly be as great as he is. Well I hope I never wake up. I hope I never have to live a day without him. Brett you truly are all she said and more. I love you and am so proud of you. Your my Prince Charming!!!
